And you know what? it's basically the clients who mostly demanding a "Exact Clone". Developers then don't have much avenues open to advise. But there are some short cut loving designers too in the industry who don't think of originality. It's nothing new. Windows came out from copying Mac and see where's Microsoft now. But that shouldn't demoralize you as it didn't for Steve Jobs. He keeps changing the world with original ideas. I hate people copy pixel by pixel.
