Engage adds a bit of spice to Steenbergs

We’ve been busy these past few months creating a new ecommerce store for Steenbergs, a local yet world renowned company at the forefront of Fairtrade spices.
Steenbergs are actually one of our oldest clients after we built the original site in 2003. Time stands still for no one though, and 5 years is an eternity in the web, so with sharpened pencils, a lot of client feedback and a few late nights, we’ve used the best advances in web technology to create a class leading site, both in terms of design and functionality.

The new design reflects the Steenbergs brand values – a company that prides itself on its fairtrade and green credentials – with strong colours and a textured, almost ‘earthy’ feel. Functionality is also improved, with a ‘suggest’ style search box that allows customers to get straight to the products they are interested in. Similarly, we’ve expanded the recipes section to allow searchable ingredients, clearer navigation and enticing imagery. Other features are an all new members area that allows customers to quickly re-order past products all from one page.
And all this cool design and functionality is neatly wrapped up in our new CMS, allowing Steenbergs to manage all of their content and (increased!) orders quickly and efficiently.
