We get all touchy-feely with Silo 6

Despite launching a full flash website recently, flash isn`t just limited to the web, as our latest touch screen application for the Silo 6 display at the Imperial War Museum shows.

Commissioned by the guys over at Hemisphere, the purpose of the piece is to inform visitors about the displacement of children during the first World War. Arriving at the screen they are presented with a visually rich scene scattered with objects from the era. Tapping the map then opens it up in glorious 3D (a capability of the recently released flash CS4 which I’ve been putting through its paces over the last few weeks) and allows you to choose from a variety of migration routes which are supported with useful information about the person who made the journey.

Obviously we don’t expect you to head down to try it yourself (though there are worse ways you could spend an afternoon!) so have created this little video instead. We hope you like it!
